Roswell Lynn Thompson, 61, passed away on May 6, 2017 after injuries sustained in a fall in October. He was born March 17, 1956 in LaGrange, Georgia.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Norris Thompson Railey; his maternal grandparents, William Obie Norris and Beatrice Cantrell Norris.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his sister, Stacy (Lee) Cline of LaGrange; brothers, Keith Thompson and Casey Thompson; and step-Father, Clyde Railey of LaGrange.

The loves of his life were his nieces and nephews and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews. He was Baptist by faith being baptized at an early age at East Side Baptist Temple.  Mr. Thompson was an avid Braves baseball fan, Georgia Bulldogs and LaGrange High football fan.  His passion was taking an early morning walk on the beach.

A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Loyd Presbyterian Church on Glass Bridge Road with Dr. Rix Threadgill officiating.  A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
