Public Safety Reports

A man claims a teenager pointed a gun at him while he sat in his car in the parking lot of the Valley Ridge apartment complex at 950 Mooty Bridge Road just after midnight on Monday.

The driver told LaGrange Police officers two youths walked by him while he was talking with a friend.

One of the juveniles then allegedly ran and hid under the steps of a nearby apartment building, the report stated.

The driver told his friend to get in the car just as the second youth appeared and pointed a gun through the window, according to the report.

The man told police he immediately threw the car in reverse and left the scene.

No one was hurt.

Police are investigating.

Shots fired at car

A homeowner discovered someone shot at her car while it was parked at her home in the 600 block of Smoot Street.

The incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Monday.

The woman told LaGrange Police officers her son parked the vehicle there Sunday night.

The homeowner claimed someone recently threw a brick and shattered the rear window of the car, according to the report.

The vehicle also allegedly had an existing bullet hole in the front passenger door from a previous shooting, the woman told officers. That suspect(s) were reportedly never identified.

LPD officers found three empty shell casings around the vehicle.

They are still investigating the incident.
