WEST POINT – Investigators with the West Point Police Department have identified three suspects in the shooting death of a woman in the 1100 block of East 12^th Street around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.

The woman was shot at least once and taken to George H. Lanier hospital in Valley, Alabama for treatment, officials said.

She was pronounced dead a short time later, West Point police said.

Officials had not released the victim’s name as of press time on Thursday.

Investigators were able to identify at least three people who may have played a role in the murder, a news release said. They did not release the suspects’ names nor confirm if any arrests had been made in the case.
