Eddie JaMarris Gilbert passed away Tuesday.

He was born January 22, 1966 in Troup County, Georgia to Mrs. Mary Frances Tucker Gilbert, and the late, Mr. Charles Gilbert, Sr.

At an early age, he joined Valley Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. C. W. Martin, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary Frances Gilbert, LaGrange, GA; sisters and brothers, Cecil (Margaret) Gilbert, Charles, Gilbert, Jr., all of Atlanta, GA;  Joyce (David) Dixon, LaGrange, GA; Elder Milton (Evelyn) Gilbert, Sr., Macon, GA; Alfred (Brenda) Gilbert, Jacksonville, NC; Bernice (Billy) Simpson, LaGrange, GA; Rev. Richard (Rev. Elaine) Gilbert, Don Gilbert, all of LaGrange, GA; Ruby (Lucisus) Hollis, West Point, GA; Ruth Gilbert, Patricia Smith, both of LaGrange, GA; James (Nina) Gilbert, Lawrenceville, GA; Christine (Dexter) Baker, LaGrange, GA; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 11:00 at St. Mary’s U M Church, Hogansville. Pastor C. W. Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
