Laurie Michelle Chamlee of LaGrange, GA, passed away on May 26, 2017 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Laurie was born in Seoul, South Korea on October 20, 1969. Laurie was adopted on September 26, 1974 by David and Carol Klehn in Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Chamlee and a niece, Jenna Paige Bragg.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Chasity N. Boyd of LaGrange and Dakota Chamlee of Stockbridge, GA; brothers, Timothy J. Klehn of Norcross, GA, and David P. Klehn, Jr. of Lanett, Alabama; sister, Carrie (Bill) Bragg of LaGrange; niece, Chelsea Bragg and nephew, Jon D. Bragg of LaGrange; longtime and special friend, Jim Bailey of LaGrange;  and other relatives and friends.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, who loved others. She was devoted to her Jesus and always cared for children. Because Laurie always loved her nieces going on mission trips with their church, she wished in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Fountain Church, 109 Mallory Dr, LaGrange, GA 30241 for the Mission Fund.

Funeral services for Laurie Michelle Chamlee will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Reverend Doug Bingham officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 pm until service time. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
