Police investigate lawnmower theft

The LaGrange Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred Wednesday on Pine Street.

A man told police a Poulan lawnmower was allegedly stolen from his home. The lawnmower, which is valued at $200, belonged to a neighbor. The lawnmower has a bullet hole in the back of the frame by the handles, according to its owner. It also has yellow wheels and is green in color.

Man with active warrant arrested at apartment complex

On Wednesday night, officers with the LaGrange Police Department were searching at the Wood Glen Apartment Complex for a man with an active arrest warrant for possession of methamphetamine.

They eventually spotted the man, who ran toward a dense wooded area behind the building, according to the police report. The man was found hiding in the woods and had a machete lying next to him. He was arrested and told police he knew he was wanted.
