The AT&T store on South Davis Road was broken into sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. The LaGrange Police Department responded to a call to the store at 7:38 a.m. Monday morning, when a man who was in the area for a doctor’s appointment noticed the front door of the AT&T store had been shattered.

The door to the office was also knocked down, according to the report. Officers found a brick on the scene and was likely used to break through the glass front door. A store employee said the only thing stolen was a Dell tablet, valued at around $50. The tablet is used to check phones.

No display phones were taken, as they were secured in another part of the store.

Two rocks hit vehicles on Whitesville

Road within two minutes of each other

Two vehicles were allegedly hit by rocks within two minutes of each other Tuesday on Whitesville Road.

Officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to a call at 1616 Whitesville Road at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday in response to two damaged vehicles. The first driver was traveling south on Whitesville Road near the intersection of Tuggle Street in a 2015 Honda Accord, when her vehicle was struck on the left rear side by a rock. The window shattered. The window was valued at $200. The driver did not see anyone throw a rock, according to the report. Officers also spoke to a second driver, who was also traveling south on Whitesville Road near Tuggle Street in a 2013 Toyota Tacoma. She said her vehicle was struck by a rock on the top of the driver’s side door frame and that the rock caused a small dent in the frame. The value of the damage was $500. She also did not see the suspect. According to the report, officers checked Tuggle Street and the surrounding streets, but did not see anyone on the streets.

Tires stolen off vehicle

On Monday at 9:41 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to a call on the 400 block of Greenville Street in reference to a theft of tires off a vehicle. The victim said all four tires were stolen off his 1979 Pontiac Lemans at some point in the previous four days. The vehicle was parked on Greenville Street to be serviced by a body shop nearby.

The car was left sitting on cement cinder blocks. Nothing else was reported missing, according to the report.
