Woman allegedly steals diapers at Walmart

The LaGrange Police Department is looking for a woman who allegedly shoplifted at Wal-Mart.
The woman is seen on store surveillance video taking the diapers, according to the police report. She allegedly tried to return the diapers for a gift card of equal value, but was told she could exchange them for a different size. After being told no, she left the store with the diapers and returned again, asking for the same refund hours. She again was told no.
The case is still under investigation.
Cars broken into at LaGrange College
A car was broken into Thursday at LaGrange College while the owner was inside helping with a day camp. The victim said his Toyota 4Runner was parked near the tennis courts, and then he went inside the college’s gymnasium for a short period of time. When he returned, he found the driver’s door window had been shattered and the door panel was damaged as well. The damage to the door and window glass is estimated to be over $500. The victim’s wallet, two credit cards and an Apple IPhone 6 were stolen. A second victim had left a purse in the same vehicle. The purse, which was valued at $200, was also stolen.
Counterfeit bill used at Adavanced Auto Parts
Police are investigating a counterfeit $100 bill that was used Thursday at Advance Auto Parts on New Franklin Road. The store’s manager said a $100 bill was found while counting money for a deposit at the end of the night. The counterfeit bill was used sometime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., according to the police report.
