It’ll be Troup vs. Troup.

The Dixie Youth Baseball 9-10-year-old district tournament continues today in Manchester, and one of the two games will pit two Troup County teams against each other.

The tournament started with seven teams, and four of them are still alive.

There will be two games today at 7 p.m., including a showdown between Troup American and Troup National.

In the other game, it will be home-standing Manchester facing off against Thomaston.

Of those four teams, only Troup American won’t be facing elimination since it has won all three of its tournament games.

Troup National, Manchester and Thomaston all have one tournament loss, so they each need to win today to advance.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday when a champion will be crowned.

Also today, the Dixie Youth Baseball 11-12-year-old district tournament will continue at the Harris Baseball Complex as Troup National continues its quest for a championship.

The tournament began with five teams, and four of them are still playing.

Troup National, which has won both of its tournament games, will play Manchester today at 6:30 p.m.

Manchester beat Lamar County on Friday, and it had a bye in the second round.

Also today, Thomaston and Taylor County will play in an elimination game.

If Troup National wins today, it would be guaranteed a spot in the championship game on Wednesday, and it would have a bye on Tuesday.
