Rosa Mae Martin Huzzie

Rosa Mae Martin Huzzie passed away Monday at WellStar West Georgia Hospice.

She as born March 18, 1940 in Troup County, Georgia to the late, Julian McKinley Martin and Elease Russell Martin.

She gained her education at East Depot School; and retired from West Georgia Health after 25 years of service.

Rosa Mae accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined the Central Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late, Rev. Story. She was a devoted and faithful member serving on the Ways and Means Committee and the Choir for a number of years until her health would not permit.

Survivors include three children, Rev. Quinton Orlando (Emily) Huzzie, Carol Valencia Huzzie, and Curtis LaKetih (Sandrico) Huzzie,; twelve grandchildren, one brother, Julian McKinley (Bernice) Martin, Jr., Detroit, MI; sister-in-law, Linda Martin, Jensen Beach, FL; special friends, special nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends, god children, and god grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Handley Street. Rev. Julius C. Herron will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
