Tony Phillips

Tony Phillips passed away Sunday.

He was born February 28, 1968 in Hogansville, Georgia to Inez Phillips Watts and the late, James Clifford Newell.

He attended school in the Hogansville School District. Tony had a passion for cars and sports. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Laquithia Phillips, Greenville, GA; mother, Inez Phillips Watts; three children, Arneshia Brandi Williams, Jordarius Jamal Marquis Foster, and Brandon Ewing, Greenville, GA; six sisters, Gloria (Bernard) Williams, Riverdale, GA; Lorraine Watts, Vanessa Watts, Melinda Watts, all of LaGrange, GA; Sonia Michelle Blaylock, Brandy Mena McClendon, both of Decatur, GA; three brothers, Rodney Watts, Columbus, GA; Gordon D. Newell, Douglasville, GA; and Fenton Newell, Atlanta, GA; four aunts, Joyce Newell Lykes, Riverdale, GA; Brenda J. Moody, College Park, A; Beverly S. Green, Columbus, GA; and Susan Lindsey, Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home. Minister Travis Hart will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
