PINE MOUNTAIN — Callaway Gardens is eagerly anticipating the Fourth of July weekend celebration!  Join us for four days filled with a ton of fun in the sun, culminating with a fantastic fireworks show.  Bring the entire family and enjoy a myriad of beach activities throughout the weekend.

Each day will feature a variety of events to entertain all ages including a deejay and bands such as Brandon Holden (Saturday, 5 p.m.), 5 Speed (Saturday, 7:30 p.m.), Drew Ellis (Sunday, 5 p.m.), Kyle Wilson (Sunday, 7:30 p.m.), Aces & 8’s (Monday, 5 p.m.), Daniel Lee Band (Monday, 7:30 p.m.), Sons-N-Britches (Tuesday, 4 p.m.), Josh Newcome (Tuesday, 6 p.m.), and The Regulars Band (Tuesday, 8:30 p.m.).

Guests of all ages are sure to be thrilled by the acrobatics of the Florida State University Flying High Circus as they perform Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Sunday at 3:30 p.m., Monday at 3:30 p.m., and two special shows on Tuesday, July 4, at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

On Saturday, watch as four professional Sand Castle Builders construct their amazing designs.  Guests may register to join in.  There is no fee to participate but there will be cash awards. Simply register in advance in either the Amateur or Pro division.  Then, set out to create a masterpiece.  The awards will be presented at 5 p.m. though guests are welcome to continue building until 7 p.m. And, in addition to the fantastic circus performances and great music at 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., guests will enjoy fireworks at dusk.

Saturday through Tuesday everyone will want to see the Chris Clark Bicycle Stunt Shows at Noon and 2 p.m.  See his amazing tricks and even register to win a bicycle of your own.

On Tuesday, Robin Lake Beach will be ready for a day of Independence Day celebration and all American fun. The anticipated patriotic fireworks finale will shoot off at approximately 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting).

Robin Lake Beach offers guests a number of activities for a fee including Aqua Island, paddle boats, waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding and lessons, rock climbing wall, spider jump, the Xcelerator four-story inflatable water slide and a flying trapeze.  A limited number of beach umbrellas with chairs are available for rent as well as semi-private cabanas overlooking Robin Lake Beach.  And, not to be overlooked, are the traditional Robin Lake Beach games of miniature golf, table tennis, shuffleboard, giant chess and checkers, and bring a disc golf set to try the beginner’s disc golf course.

Whether for a dramatic Birds of Prey show at 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m., or 4 p.m., a stroll on a walking trail, or to witness the beauty of flowers and butterflies, guests will want to be sure to spend time in the Gardens, which is included with admission.  For an additional fee, guests can add some adrenaline on TreeTop Adventure’s zip lines and obstacles or around the Gardens on the newly repaved seven-mile Discovery Bicycle Trail.

Rest and relax this Fourth of July by staying overnight.  Guests can choose from lodging in the recently updated Lodge and Spa, the relaxing Southern Pine Cottages, or the secluded Mountain Creek Villas and Vacation Homes.  The special Savor the Summer Package* includes lodging, admission to the Gardens and Beach Party as well as a lodging savings and resort credit – both increase as the stay length increases.

Special Event admission applies July 1-4, 2017, and is $30/adult; $15/child (6 to 12); and children five and younger are free.  Tax is additional.  Annual passholders and Military personnel, with valid active duty or retired identification, can enter this special event for half-price.  Veterans also are admitted for half-price.  Admission includes access to the Gardens attractions from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and beach activities until they close each night.  On Monday, Robin Lake Beach gate will open at 7 a.m. until the fireworks finale.
