Today is a day for celebration, and with that celebration of our nation’s birth, certain offices will be closed for the day and some services will likewise move back a day so that everyone can celebrate the holiday.

The City of LaGrange and Troup County Government offices will be closed for the holiday, and the Troup County Sheriff’s Office will also be closed in observance of the holiday, though as usual the deputies will be out patrolling to keep the county safe.

Residential trash pickup will be pushed back a day this week with homes that usually have pickup on Tuesday receiving pick-up on Tuesday, and Wednesday trash pickup moving to Thursday.

The LaGrange Memorial Library and the Hogansville Library will also be closed in observance of the holiday.
