Today, the LaGrange Memorial Library will host a special summer program featuring Graphic Artist Kyle Puttkamer who will teach teens how to draw comics starting at 2 p.m. Puttkammer is known as the author of Hero Cats — a series of graphic novels staring feline heroes saving humanity — making him the both a role model and a great source of knowledge for aspiring artists.

“He’ll bring everyone a free comic — because of free comic book day — and tell them to pick a picture inside, and try to look at it and draw it,” librarian Tim Crocker said. “The next time they have to draw it by memory, and it teaches them to draw faster and better. He also talks about what he does with his comic book stores in Atlanta.”
