Dear Editor,

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Jason W. Swindle, senior partner at Swindle Law Group P.C. in Carrollton, on his recent appointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Georgia Sexual Offender Registration Review Board.

All Georgians will benefit from Mr. Swindle’s service on the board, whose mission is to protect children, citizens and communities by determining the risk level and likelihood that convicted sexual offenders will commit another crime.

He also presently serves the legal profession by representing the Coweta Judicial Circuit on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and is an adjunct professor for the Criminology Department at the University of West Georgia.

Mr. Swindle’s acceptance of this post is evidence of his continued dedication to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new position of statewide leadership.
