Two arrested with alleged narcotics

On Monday, a LaGrange Police officer pulled over a vehicle with a temporary tag and an inoperable driver side brake light. The officer requested the information on the vehicle’s occupants, and discovered that one of the vehicle’s occupants –John Arrington – had an active warrant through the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for a probation violation.

The officer further discovered that the vehicle’s other occupant – who allegedly had given a false name but was later identified as Tracey Lowery – had a warrant for his arrest through the Troup County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation and failure to appear.

While searching Lowery, the officer located a white pill that was later identified as Carisoprodol, otherwise known as Soma, which is a muscle relaxer. A residue of what police believe to be methamphetamine was found on a scale inside the car along with two packs of self-sealing bags and a glass smoking device.

Arrington and Lowery were both charged with felonies for possession of narcotics.
