Mrs. Rosa Mae Nix Roberts , of LaGrange, passed away at West Georgia Health on July 13, 2017.  She was born in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Rev. Buddy and Ollie McMillian.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first late husband, Will “Bud” Nix Jr. and her second late husband Barnell Roberts; brothers, Bill McMiilian, Rev. J.C. McMillian, and Paul McMillian, and sister, Margie Prince.  She has been a member of Baptist Tabernacle since 1969, played the piano for 40 years, was a youth director, a member of WMC, and a faithful member of the Lighthouse Keepers.

Mrs. Rosa Mae Nix Roberts is survived by her son, Jerry Nix (Cynthia); daughters, Cathy Rainey (Richard), Gwen Orloski (Art), and Yvonne Horne (her late husband Roland); her sister, Alice Lyles; her seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higgins funeralhomes.com.

The family will receive friends at Higgins LaGrange Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017.  The funeral service will be held the following day, Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Baptist Tabernacle in LaGrange, with Pastor Jimmy McMillian officiating.  The committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.

The family will gather at her home, 232 Sivell Road, Lagrange the day leading up to the service.
