Dixie Jean Waugh, age 80, passed away on July 13, 2017 at Emory Saint Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Waugh was born November 15, 1936 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Leila Bassett. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, James Fred Waugh, Sr. Mrs. Waugh was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class and had an infectious smile.  She was employed at LaGrange Molding.

Survivors include her sons, James Fred Waugh, Jr. (Rita), Stephen Earl Waugh, and her brother, J.W. Bassett. Her greatest treasures in life were her grandchildren, Jacob Kinney (Brooke), Jessica Hubbard (Jerry), Madeline Waugh and Stephen Waugh; great grandchildren, Kaden Kinney, Harper Grae Kinney, Ava Dixie Hubbard and Silas Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Franklin Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Sledge officiating.   Interment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
