Last week, we wrote about Frios Gourmet Pops opening downtown. Frios is just the latest business to move to our city and as you know, many more are yet to open.

It couldn’t have been a more fitting week for Frios to open its doors, considering it was national ice cream day on Monday and temperatures were threatening 100 degrees outside. Technically Frios isn’t ice cream, but it is a frozen treat that comes in dozen of different flavors. It’s cold and during days in the hottest part of summer there’s nothing better.

We’re sure many have made a stop by Frios location at 120 Bull Street over the last handful of days, but if you haven’t we recommend you do so.

Every business in LaGrange is an integral part of this community, from the biggest to the smallest, and those tax dollars are important to keep here.

We’ve written many times on the importance of shopping local, but it’s worth repeating.

There are plenty of options of businesses and restaurants in LaGrange. Atlanta may have more options and Columbus and Newnan may have a couple of different stores, but it’s important to try to buy here first. We think if you try, you’ll find that just about everything you need is right here within the county limits.
