Mrs. Betty “Joan” Costley, age 82, of LaGrange, lovingly known as “MAMA JOAN”, passed away on July 18, 2017, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Joan was born on January 7, 1935, in LaGrange, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Virgil “Odell” Costley and her daughter, Pamela Osborn.

Survivors include her son Wayne Eugene Costley and his wife Gail Costley; grandchildren, Renee Nixon and her husband Mike, Jared Costley, Christie Haro and her husband Rey, Whit Costley and his wife Magenta, and Matthew Osborn as well as numerous great grandchildren and extended family.

Joan was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, LaGrange, Georgia.

Services for Mrs. Costley will be held on Friday, July 19 at 12 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with Dr. Donald Yancey officiating.
