Mr. Carey Paul Brown, Jr. , age 55, of LaGrange, passed away on July 24, 2017, at the LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Mr. Brown was born on February 1, 1962, in LaGrange to the late Carey Paul Brown and Jewell Mae Hardy Brown.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was involved in the construction industry by trade.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Maureen Thompkins Brown and a brother, James Gregory Brown.  He is survived by his brother and his wife, Ronald and Sherry Brown of LaGrange; niece, Tammy Stokes and her husband Bryan; great niece, Camden Tapley; 5 step children and 12 step grandchildren; step mother, Barbara Brown; step brothers, Artis Parmer, Greg Parmer, Charles Parmer, extended family and friends.

A time of visitation will be held for family and friends on Tuesday evening, Aug. 1, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel.  Private family interment will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Restlawn Memory Gardens, with the Rev.
