Grill stolen from office

A grill was stolen from the rear patio of the Emory Central Business Office between July 21 at noon and July 25 at noon. The woman who reported the crime said that she noticed the grill was gone when she went outside on her lunch break. The woman said she purchased the grill from Walmart for $13 and donated it to the office. The woman also said that between July 11 at noon and July 13 at noon, four black patio chairs were taken from the same location. The woman said that these chairs were purchased by the office to use in their break area and that she does not know the value nor does the brand of the chairs.

Car window broken in the night

The window of a Tiny Treasure Learning Center’s van was broken between 11:30 p.m. on July 31 to around 5:36 a.m. on August 1. The woman who reported it to police said the business closed around 11:30 p.m. and the window was not broken when the staff left on the previous night. The damaged window was estimated to be around $100. The woman said she did not know of any suspects that may have broken the window. The doors were still locked on the van and it did not appear that anyone tried to make entry into the vehicle.

Vehicle damaged in hit-and-run

A woman’s silver PT Cruiser was damaged in a hit and run incident on the 600 block of Borton Street between 6:30 p.m. on July 31 and 11:05 a.m. on Aug. 1. The woman said she parked her car in her driveway without any damage around 6:30 p.m. and at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, she walked outside and saw that there was damage to the front left quarter panel of her car.
