Mary Anne Williams Gloer, 79 of Newnan, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017, surrounded by her family.  She was born December 9, 1937, in LaGrange to the late Joe Vincent Williams and Annie Clyde Reeves Williams.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe V. Williams, Jr.

Mary Anne was born and raised in LaGrange and graduated from Rosemont High School.  She retired from Bellsouth after 32 years of service.  Never one to be idle in her retirement, Mary Anne worked at Newnan Hospital and at Georgia Bone & Joint for 12 years. She was a member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church and previously was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Sharpsburg Baptist Church, 6413 Hwy 54, Sharpsburg, GA with Dr. Wallace McAbee officiating. Burial will follow at Senoia City Cemetery. The visitation is Friday evening between 6 and 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan.
