LAGRANGE – For the Troup and Callaway football teams, it’s game week.

While the regular season won’t begin until next week, Troup and Callaway will both be on the field on Friday night for preseason games.

LaGrange played its lone preseason game last week against Heard County.

Callaway, as has become a tradition under head coach Pete Wiggins, will be in Hogansville for its preseason game against Northside-Columbus on Friday night.

Troup will be at Callaway Stadium on Friday for its preseason game against Harris County.

Next week, things begin for real as the regular season gets under way.

Troup will get things started with a home game against Hardaway on Aug. 17.

On Aug. 18, Callaway and LaGrange will start their seasons against each other.

Lafayette Christian’s eight-man team will begin its season on Aug. 18 at Solid Rock.
