LAGRANGE – It was a perfect weekend.

The LaGrange High softball team played four games in the Callaway Classic, and it won them all.

After beating Hardaway on Friday, LaGrange surged past Marion County, Woodward Academy and Cairo on Saturday.

While the hitting was consistent in all four games, the pitching was superb as well, with Camden Smith and Hannah Karcher getting it done.

Smith pitched two complete games on Saturday against Cairo and Marion County and gave up just earned run, and Karcher got the wins against Hardaway and Woodward Academy.

LaGrange improved to 6-1, and it will open its Region 5-AAAA schedule with a home game against Cedartown on Tuesday.

“Our younger kids are getting used to play together, and everybody is starting to have good chemistry,” LaGrange head coach Gabby Heath said.

Heath said it was a team effort all weekend.

“Everybody contributed,” she said. “We have 15 players on the team, and every single person contributed in some way. That’s great to see.”

Here’s a recap of each of LaGrange’s games:
