Woman held at gunpoint Sunday

A woman told police she was held at gunpoint at the 200 block of Alton Drive on Sunday around 2:04 a.m. The woman told police that an unknown man kicked in her back door and held her at gunpoint. Police said an undisclosed amount of her property was taken and the suspect was wearing a black shirt and jeans and was 5-foot-6and weighs approximately 150 pounds.

Pizza Hut driver hassled

A Pizza Hut delivery driver was almost robbed at the 1400 block of Elm Street on Saturday before 9 p.m. The driver told police that a short woman wearing a dark blue pullover tried to take his bag of pizzas. The driver said that while he struggled with the woman, he held on to the bag and the woman soon left without anything.

Woman arrested for alleged shoplifting

A woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at the Walmart on New Franklin Road on Friday around 4:53 p.m. According to the store’s loss prevention officer, the woman hid a pair of black pants valued at $21.86 and a black polo shirt valued at $5 in her purse. The woman told police that she was starting a new job and needed the clothes, but could not afford them.

Guns allegedly stolen from home

Guns and a MacBook were reported stolen from a home at the 100 block of North Willowcrest Road Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The homeowners said they are missing three guns and an Apple MacBook from their house. The residents told police that they had two friends stay at their house during the night.

Woman’s house allegedly burglarized

A woman’s house was allegedly burglarized at the 100 block of Brenda Boulevard between 3 p.m. on Friday and 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. The woman told police she returned to her home on Brenda Blvd to find her house ransacked Saturday. Items taken from her bedroom include baby and adult clothes valued at $600, a flat screen television and five cases of diapers total valued at $180. Items taken from a separate bedroom include clothes and shoes valued at $1,000. 

Items taken from the kitchen include groceries valued at $100 and a microwave valued at $70. Various cleaning supplies taken from her bathroom were valued at $150. A Bluetooth speaker valued at $60 was also taken from her living room. The woman said she locked her back door before she left on Friday and that it was open when she came back.
