LaGrange falls at Bowdon

BOWDON – The LaGrange Lady Grangers stepped out of region play and fell to home-standing Bowdon 6-0 on Monday.

It was a tune-up for today’s critical Region 5-AAAA softball game against Troup.

In Monday’s game, Bowdon scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break open a close game.

Malone Aldridge, Abby Vanhoose and Madison Dennis each had hits for LaGrange.

Bowdon pitcher Macy Bearden threw the seven-inning shutout, and she had 12 strikeouts.

Camden Smith started and pitched four innings for LaGrange, and she allowed one earned run on four hits.

Hannah Karcher threw the final two innings.
