Jeremy Brown was arrested for allegedly violating Georgia’s Controlled Substance Act Wednesday night.

Brown was charged with the intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana along with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and failing to dim his car’s headlights Wednesday at 11:53 p.m.

Brown, 27, was pulled over for failing to dim his headlights when passing an officer. According to the police report, the officer smelled marijuana from the Brown’s vehicle and was given consent to search him.

Police found two clear plastic bags with suspected “crack” rocks, two clear plastic bags with suspected marijuana and a clear plastic bag with suspected powder cocaine on Brown, according to the police report. Police also found a loaded Smith and Wesson Body Guard .380 caliber handgun and $108 that was broken down into $20s, $10s, $5s and $1s, which is consistent with street level narcotic sales.

Police found approximately a total of 16 grams of suspected cocaine and 30 grams of suspected marijuana on him during the search, which is consistent with sales and not personal use, according to the report.

Woman arrested for DUI

A 51-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence Wednesday around 9 p.m.

According to the police report, an officer driving past the woman on Interstate 85 saw her vehicle drift and weave back and forth before crossing both the center and fog lines.

After pulling into a gas station behind the woman she told them she had come back from a celebration where she had two 12 ounce beers. After taking multiple sobriety tests, the woman refused to give a voluntary breath test.

She was then arrested.

Man arrested for drug possession

The glass door of a business was shattered on the 400 block of Greenville Street Thursday at 1:06 p.m. The business owner said the door was valued at $400 and that nothing was taken from inside the store.
