Hogansville released the finalists for its city manager position Friday afternoon.

The finalists are Dr. C. Lamont Alston, Davis Ashburn and David Alan Milliron.

“These candidates have previous local government experience and meet our qualification requirements,” the press release said.

The press release called the search “extensive.”

“This past month the council and I have evaluated dozens of applicants looking for the best match for our community,” said Mayor Bill Stankiewicz.

No timetable was announced for when a final decision would be made. At this month’s council meeting, Stankiewicz had discussed the search, saying it had been narrowed to five candidates, so progress has been made over the last two weeks.

The Hogansville City Manager reports to the city council and directs the day to day operations of the city.

Former Hogansville City Manager James Woods was fired in May.
