Mattie Heard passed away Monday.

She was born July 16, 1932, to the late Sam and Jimmie McCurty in Randolph County, Alabama.

She united with St. James CME Church. Mattie retired from West Point Stevens.

Survivors include her sister, Sara Taylor; brother, Jimmy McCurty, both of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

The Service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. The Rev. L. K. Allen will officiate.
