Mrs. Ruby Lee Ledford, age, 82, of LaGrange passed away on Sept. 7, 2017, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mrs. Ledford was born on Sept. 16, 1934 to the late Rufus and Inez Crowel Head in Porterdale, Georgia.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Willard Ledford; daughter, Mary Jane Demoss; son, Donald Shelnutt; sister, Carrie Daniel;  brothers, James (Buck) Head and Henry Head.

Mrs. Ledford is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Larry) Grizzard of LaGrange; sisters, Betty Moore of West Point and Cleo (John) Schall of North Carolina;  brother in law, Bill Daniel of Key West, FL; daughter in law, Kathy Shelnutt of Franklin; son in law, Jerry Demoss of Michigan; granddaughters, Jennifer (Chris) Smith of LaGrange, Jeri Kimmel of Michigan; great grandchildren, Dylan Bailey of LaGrange, Reagan Smith of LaGrange, Cory Kimmel of Michigan, Josephine Jane Kimmel of Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m.  A graveside service will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
