Cotton Pickin’ Fair to highlight artisans

On Oct. 7 and 8 look for fried green tomatoes, art, antiques, and crafts along with a slice of history at The Cotton Pickin’ Fair on grounds of the Gay Family’s 188-year-old farmstead in Gay, Georgia.

Each edition of The Cotton Pickin’ Fair features the works of 350 amazing artisans and antique specialists from across the United States.

Musicians, puppeteers, folk dancers and magicians perform throughout the grounds on rustic stages, and aromas of delicious southern foods fill the air.

The festival is located at 18830 Hwy. 85 in Gay, Georgia, 30218.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children 7 to 12. Any children 6 and under are admitted free.

The festival will take place 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
