The Thursday Lunch Club (TLC) met at noon on September 7 in the Fellowship Hall of the LaGrange First United Methodist Church. There were 101 people at the event.

The tables were decorated with composition books and pencils keeping with the storytelling theme by the Elizabeth Women’s Circle of the LaGrange FUMC.

The attendees were entertained by retired Superior Court Judge, the Honorable Allen Keebler who is now a storyteller. He told a comical story about one of his experiences as a young attorney defending a colorful defendant. After the delightful story Joyce Morgan Young recognized the Azalea Committee and announced a free storytelling afternoon will be in the Pecan Grove at Hills and Dales on October 15 at 2 p.m.

The next meeting of TLC will be Oct. 5.  Chris Cleveland will share his historic postcard collection.
