Troup County’s contractor Tidwell Construction Company has scheduled the road closure of Stewart Road between 560 Stewart Road and 714 Stewart Road for September 25 in order to facilitate the replacement of the bridge over Long Cane Creek.

The road closure associated with the bridge replacement is expected to last approximately three months. A complete detour plan with all appropriate signs will be implemented. Message signs have been installed to inform local drivers of the road closure date.

As with all road construction, motorists are advised to use extra caution in work zones.  Slow down, stay alert, pay attention and obey all work zone/advisory signs.
