Dewey L. Deese, Sr., 58, of LaGrange, Georgia, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at his home.

Mr. Deese was born Nov. 21, 1958, in Carrollton, GA to the late Travis Deese and Reba Nell Hammond Deese.

“Big D”, as he was affectionately known was a member of Cathedral of Praise and was retired from Southwire Company after 36 1/2 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tina M. Deese; children, Terry Womack, Michelle (Ralph) Doll, Dewey L. (Brenda) Deese, Jr., Reba (Timmothy) Hemrick, Christina (Angel) Matias, Hank (Teri) Lashley, Brianna (Tony) Lowery; grandchildren, Zachary Womack, Hannah Sartin, B.J. Anderson, Ryan (Shannon) Fields, Hillary (Derek) Breaux, Caleb Matias, Makaiah Matias, Angel Lemuel Matias, Damien Spradlin, Zackery Spradlin, Hayden Lashley, Tristan Lashley, Azariah Lowery; great grandchildren, Star-Ann, Izaiah, Amber, Ehren, Jacob, Rachel, and Leah; aunt, Geneva Rigsby; and a host other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Robert Looney officiating.  The Gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
