LaGrange stays hot with road win

TYRONE – Hannah Karcher pitched a five-inning no-hitter as LaGrange blew past Sandy Creek 10-0 on Tuesday.

LaGrange (15-6 overall) remained in first place in Region 5-AAAA with an 8-2 record.

LaGrange has two region games remaining, and they’re against the other teams in the hunt for the top spot.

LaGrange has road games against Chapel Hill on Thursday, and Central-Carroll on Monday.

Against Sandy Creek, Karcher was in command from the get-go.

Karcher allowed no hits and two walks, and she had three strikeouts.

LaGrange also got it done at the plate with 12 hits, and Malone Aldridge, Karcher and Destiny Fitzpatrick had two hits apiece.

All three of those players also drove in a run.

Abby Vanhoose had a hit and two RBIs, Madison Dennis and Shaq Sutton each had a hit and an RBI, and Katelynn Mobley and Jacee Marable had one hit apiece.

TROUP: Cedartown scored six runs in the sixth inning on the way to a 10-5 win over Troup.

Skye Loftin had two hits and three RBIs for Troup, and Maddie Weathers had two hits and one RBI.

Hadleigh Livingston had one RBI, Kayla Lane had two hits, and Madison McCartney and Makenzie Miller each had one hit.
