Marjorie Carolyn Rivers Ray

Mrs. Marjorie Carolyn Rivers Ray, of LaGrange, passed away on Sept. 19, 2017, at the Twin Fountains Home.  Mrs. Ray was born in LaGrange on Oct. 9, 1928, to the late Charlie and Vesta Rivers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hugh Ray; sister, Charlie Rose Miller; son, Thomas C. Ray.  Survivors include her sons, Steve Ray and his wife Jane of LaGrange and Ronald Ray and his wife Reba of Franklin; sister, Frances Bailey of LaGrange; nephew, Bill Smith of Milledgeville; nieces, Suzanne and Beverly of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Ricky Ray, Scottie Ray, Brian Ray, Brandy Winfree, Tammy Burke, Regina McDonald and Christy Cox; 18 great grandchildren. Marjorie attended LaGrange College and Troup Tech for her LPN Nursing Degree. She worked at Kex Plant of Callaway Mills and then as a Nurse at West Georgia Medical Center, Warm Springs Rehabilitation Center, Troup County Jail and retired from Clark Holder Clinic. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 2  p. m.  at the Shadowlawn- Hillview Annex. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
