Bertha LaRose Parks passed away Monday.

She was born Oct. 7, 1934, to Ran and Mamie Parks Jackson in Greenville (Meriwether County) Georgia.

She was a member of Branch Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Odessadale, Georgia.

Survivors include four daughters, Sherry (Brent) Jordan, Cynthia (Charles) Davis, Mamie (Homer) Henderson, Angela (Delaney) Truitt; son, Lloyd Parks; grandchildren, sister, Kathryn Jackson Hurd Anderson; and a host of devoted close friends whom she loved dearly.

The service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Branch Hebron Baptist Church. Pastor Harvey Jones will officiate.
