Mr. George C. Ogletree, 66, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday at Hospice LaGrange. George was born Aug. 11,1951,  the son of the late George Frank and Mary Louise Caldwell Ogletree. He was retired from the City of LaGrange with 38 years’ service having worked in many departments and retired as foreman of the Sign Shop for the city.  George attended Creekside Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by family members, Chris Ogletree, Martha Rudine Woods, and William Ogletree.

Survivors include: Loving wife Loretta (Candy) Wright Ogletree, LaGrange, Georgia. Sisters:  Mrs. Ann Daniel, Franklin, GA.  Mrs. Wanda James, Myrtle Beach, SC. Half Sister: Christine McCurry, LaGrange, GA Brothers: Tyrus Fuller,  Hawaii. Kenneth F. Ogletree, Gaffney, S.C. Thomas C. Ogletree, LaGrange, Georgia. Randall F. Ogletree, Hogansville, GA. Joseph L. Ogletree, Lincolnton, N.C. Half Brother: David Ogletree, Griffin, GA.

Funeral Services for Mr. George C. Ogletree will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the chapel of the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home with the Reverend Brian Geter officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m.

Interment will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery on the Hamilton Road.
