GACD announces new additions to leadership team

The Georgia Association of Conservation Districts (GACD) announced the hiring of Katie Sponberger and Michelle Boone to serve as district program managers for north and south Georgia.

Sponberger comes to GACD with an Agricultural Business degree from the University of Georgia and most recently served as the economic development coordinator and public relations manager for Catoosa County Government. She resides in Ringgold, GA.

Boone comes to GACD from one of our partner agencies, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, where she served as soil conservation associate for Pulaski County. She majored in Education at Georgia Southern University and resides in Dublin.

“Katie and Michelle bring a unique skill set to GACD’s leadership team that will enhance our progression as an organization,” said GACD Executive Director Casey Cox. “We welcome them to the team and look forward to advancing our conservation goals across the state.”

GACD’s District Program Managers will be responsible for the management of 45 district program assistants located throughout the State. GACD is a nonprofit organization representing Georgia’s 40 conservation districts.
