Cassandra Yancey Maddox

Evangelist Cassandra Yancey Maddox passed away Friday at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. She was born Aug. 25, 1960, to Annie Mae Poythress and the late William Yancey in Troup County, Georgia.

She united with Sound Doctrine Ministries, where she became an Ordained Evangelist.

Survivors include her husband, Leo D. Maddox; six children, Nikki (Pelow) Reed, Shaquandria (Emanuel) Brown, Cory Maddox, Runja (Jermaine) Cosby, Akia Maddox and Cortnei Maddox; 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild; her mother, Annie Mae Poythress; an array of relatives including sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, five aunts, two uncles, nieces, nephews,and cousins.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at New Community Church. Apostle Dr. Earnest Parham will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

The family will be at their home at 725 North Greenwood Street and will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson on Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
