The Thursday Lunch Club met at noon Oct. 5 in the Fellowship Hall of the LaGrange First United Methodist Church. There were 79 people who enjoyed the meals.

Judy Bledsoe administered blood pressure checks prior to the meal.

There were several new attendees. Everyone in attendance with a birthday in October was given a special cupcake by Richard Ennis, New York Life Agent.

Jake Behr, Program Chair announced a drawing for four $20 gift certificates from Tournesol Gift Shoppe. The gift shop has recently moved from Main Street downtown to Lincoln Street and Hillside. The winners of the four $20 gift cards were Lugene Brown, Bobby Ritchie, Ellen Fisher and Lois Smith.

The attendees were then treated to the history of LaGrange through postcards. Chris Cleveland shared his extensive collection of postcards that depict the history of LaGrange and surrounding areas.

The next meeting of TLC will be Nov. 2, 2017. Vocalist Jeffrey Higgins will perform at the next meeting.
