Mrs. Barbara Ann Adams passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017.

She was born Aug. 2, 1933 in LaGrange, the daughter of the late Mary Lou Dixon and Joseph Sanders.

Mother Adams joined Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age, and she remained a faithful member until she and her husband founded Confidence Missionary Baptist Church.

Mother Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert Adams, Jr.; two sons, Wali Karim (Willie Robert Adams) and Phillip Jerome Adams; one daughter, Janice Adams Thomas.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Harry) Thomas, Fayetteville, GA; Cassandra (Willie) Maddox, Fayetteville, GA; B. Renee Adams, LaGrange, GA; Kamilah Tipton, Jonesboro, GA; brother, Ernest (Jewel) Salmon, Conyers, GA; several grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lola Barnes, LaGrange, GA; brothers-in-law: Monroe Adams, Chattanooga, TN; Herbert Adams, Chattanooga, TN; aunt, Mary Helen Dixon, LaGrange, GA; twenty-four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; an array of extended family, god-children, caregivers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Beautiful Celebration of this Life Well Lived was Celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at Confidence Baptist Church.
