HOGANSVILLE – Heard County is leading the way.

After its big win over Callaway last week, Heard County (6-1 overall) has surged to the top of the Region 5-AA standings with a 2-0 record.

Four teams, including Callaway, are tied for second at 1-1 in the region, while Jordan is 0-2.

Each of those teams has three region games remaining, and the top four teams will earn a spot in the state playoffs.
