Charter Communications representatives, along with the LaGrange Fire Department, will be giving away safe home kits to residents in LaGrange Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers will be giving away roughly 80 kits at the George R. Moore Fire Station at 1425 South Davis Road in LaGrange.

The kits will include important safety items such as a first aid kit and emergency radio; as well as items to improve the health of a home, such as all-purpose cleaner and weather-stripping.

These kits will be available while supplies last.

Charter Communications, Inc., will work with the City of LaGrange and firefighters at the George R. Moore Fire Station to distribute complimentary Safe & Healthy Home Kits to local residents through the Spectrum Housing Assist program.

Spectrum Housing Assist was implemented nationally for 2017, across Charter’s 41-state service area with the goal of improving 25,000 homes by the year 2020. The website features inspirational stories of impact, homeowner resources, education and activities that will help people maintain safe and healthy homes. Since its inception, the program has helped improve more than 12,457 homes.
