Brother Jessie Ben Hixson passed away Thursday.

He was born March 15, 1930, to the late Rueben Clyde Hixson and Mattie Stanley Hixson.

He attended the Columbus School of Preaching and served as the minister of the Wright Street Church of Christ and the Church of Christ in Lafayette, Alabama, and for many years he was the assistant minister of the South Park Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors include four daughters, Jessie M. (Stanley) Huzzie, Nannie Jefferson, all of Dayton, Ohio; Teresa (Marvin) Tucker, Jarinda Lynn (David) Hill, one son, Anthony (Jacqueline) Hixson, all of LaGrange, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Mattie Pearl Hixson, Columbus, Ga.,  one brother, Horace Hixon, Greenville, Ga. twenty great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at South Park Avenue Church of Christ.
