We’ll all get a chance to cast our ballots Tuesday for important local races. On that night, mayors in West Point, Hogansville and LaGrange will be elected, SPLOST will be decided on and city council seats will also be up for grabs.

But there’s one other important deadline coming up on Friday, when early voting ends at 5 p.m. Early voting is convenient for many reasons. The lines should be shorter Friday than they will be Tuesday, when everyone will be rushing to the polls during the workweek.

For some, it might be easier to catch a break today, run by the Courthouse and cast a vote. And many others may already be at the Courthouse for a different reason.

Why not go ahead and vote while you’re there?
