Thomas Michael Benefield passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Pastor Joe Williams will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1 until 2 p.m., at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Benefield, the son of the late Thomas Earl Benefield and Barbara Jacqueline

Browning Benefield was born June 11, 1947, in LaGrange, Georgia. He attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Mr. Benefield retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia as a systems analyst and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Benefield of Forsyth; children, Christy and Sean Wheeler of Forsyth and Michael and Kristy Benefield of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Katie Wheeler, Hannah Wheeler, Meghan Wheeler, Aidan Benefield and Graier Benefield.
