Mrs. Peggy Juanita Smith McRae, age 80, of LaGrange, passed away on Nov. 9, 2017, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mrs. McRae was born on May 27, 1937, in LaGrange to the late Warren Smith and Thelma Norris Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Buddy” McRae, Sr.; son, Buddy McRae, Jr.; brother, Thomas Smith. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Smith and Donna Burgess, both of LaGrange; sisters, Annell Austin (David) and Sandra Papp, all of LaGrange; grandchildren, Haley Smith, Jason Burgess (Leila) and Stanley Smith; great grandchildren, Kelsea, Gracee, Paydon, Madison, Bella Rose, Ethan and Lavin; extended family and friends.

Services for Mrs. McRae will be held on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. David Cross officiating.  Interment will follow at the Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday from 1-2 at the funeral home.
