Springwood Theatre Society’s cast and crew received an “Excellent” for their performances in “Faces of Freedom” and for their scene from the movie “The Breakfast Club” at the District Trumbauer Festival in Opelika.

Also awarded were Paige Albertson for solo musical female dramatic novice; Lillie and Curry Hoats for solo musical female dramatic barsity; Cole Hoiness, Madison Kimbrough, Brittany McDaniel, Sophia Shrewsbury and Mallory Steenbergen for their scene from “The Breakfast Club”; and Sofia Shrewsbury, Kitty Key, John Hart, Hallie Miller, Cole Hoiness, Mallory Steenbergen, Brittany McDaniel, Lillie Hoats, Madison Kimbrough, Curry Hoats, Paige Albertson, Maya Battle, J.P. Moore, Kali Claunch, Kelsey Knight and James Dorminy for their performance of “Faces of Freedom.”

Additionally, Key and Shrewsbury were selected for the honor of “All Star Cast” and Rachel Remmel received a red ribbon for solo musical female dramatic varsity.

Finally, with “Superior” scores, receiving red ribbons and going to state are Miller for solo musical female comedic novice; Hoats for solo musical female dramatic novice; and Key for solo acting female contemporary dramatic varsity and solo musical female dramatic varsity.
